The old wooden boxes were coated with new paint. Originally dark brown, the boxes were base coated with white paint in order to enable even light shades to cover the original colour. The triangles took some time and patience: the shapes were first marked with masking tape and then painted with furniture paint. If you don’t like bed spreads, use a double-sized linen and a throw blanket to cover the bed during the day. A separate divan bed cover is a practical way to hide the original colour of the bed. You can create an illusion of the bed floating by using ropes.
